The leak

You already paid for the lead. Voicemail gives it away.

A homeowner with no AC, no heat, or a burst pipe does not wait. They Google three shops and book whoever picks up. After 5pm, on weekends, and during a heat advisory, that is usually not you.

After-hours is where the money is

A dead AC in Massapequa in July is not a “call them back in the morning” job. It is a same-night dispatch or a replacement estimate — and the first live voice usually wins it.

Human answering services still sound like a call center

They put people on hold, miss trade terms, and bill extra the week a nor’easter or heat wave spikes your volume. Your customer wanted your shop, not a national operator.

You cannot sit on the phone and run trucks

Owners answering at 10pm from the couch still miss the second line. LocalForge holds the front desk so you only get the jobs that need a tech.

Got it. Central air, no-cool, infant in the home. I’m emailing the on-call now with the address and a confirmation.

On the line

Sounds like your shop. Thinks like a dispatcher.

The sample above is the kind of call we train for. Callers hear your company name. You get a clean job card, not a rambling voicemail.

  • Greets as your company, not “an answering service.”
  • Knows no-cool, no-heat, no-hot-water, a burst pipe, boiler lockout, and maintenance.
  • Captures name, callback, town, address, system, and urgency.
  • Emails you the job. Emergencies can ring your cell.
  • Stays inside your service towns. Filters junk and robocalls.

What it does

Built for HVAC and plumbing. Not a generic robot.

Luna is the receptionist. She answers in your company name, takes the inquiry, and emails you the name, number, address, and what’s wrong.

Answers in your name

Keep your business number. Forward after-hours or no-answer. Callers never have to dial a new line.

Emergency vs. morning

No heat, no cool, or a burst pipe goes to the on-call tech. A tune-up or estimate gets booked for the next open slot.

Your towns only

Set Nassau, Suffolk, or a town list. Out-of-area callers get a polite decline instead of a wasted truck roll.

Job card in your pocket

Every call becomes an email: address, issue, callback, and whether they need a tech tonight. Text-to-phone is next, not day one.

Ready for your calendar

Start with email. Calendar, Housecall Pro, or ServiceTitan can come later when you’re ready.

Flat through the heat

Human services charge extra the week the Island hits 95°. One monthly fee. No per-minute spike.

Founding shops

First 10 HVAC and plumbing shops on Long Island.

We’re rolling this out with a small group of Nassau and Suffolk shops so we can tune Luna to this market — not a national template. Founding shops get locked-in pricing, setup on us, and a say in how she talks.

01 One flat monthly fee. No per-minute surprise in a heat wave.

02 Setup call is about 20 minutes. Keep your number.

03 Cancel anytime. No annual contract.

Questions

Straight answers.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. You keep the number on the trucks and the Google listing. After hours — or when nobody picks up — the call forwards to LocalForge.

Will callers know it’s AI?

Luna can greet as your receptionist, and we can disclose that she’s an AI assistant if you prefer. Most callers care that someone competent picked up, not the technology.

What happens on a real emergency?

No-heat, no-cool with medical need, a burst pipe, gas smell, or carbon monoxide gets treated as urgent. We capture the address and can transfer to your cell. We do not give mechanical advice or pretend to be a licensed contractor.

Do you work outside Long Island?

Not yet. This launch is Nassau and Suffolk only so the agent knows the towns, the weather, and how shops here actually dispatch.

How much is it?

Founding shops get a flat monthly rate quoted on the walkthrough — typically far below a live answering service, with no per-minute overage. We’ll put the number in writing before you forward a single call.

What about Spanish-speaking callers?

English is live first. Spanish is on the near-term roadmap because a lot of Long Island service calls come in that way. Tell us if you need it on day one.
